In this Issue: 1) The 2021 Hummingbird Migration Update. Message from Ruth & Jim:This is a very concerning time in our society. Our hearts go out to everyone now being impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.In Native American Culture, hummingbirds are seen as Healers and Messangers of Love,Good Luck and Joy. They also symbolize courage and resilience because of their long migration. We hope your hummingbirds bring some comfort and distraction from these trying times.No Flights Have Been Cancelled!Our Hummingbirds Are On Their Way!We have received sightings up into New York this week. The Hummers are definitely on the move. April is the busiest month for the hummingbird migration! Most Hummers will be arriving to their Summer homes by the end of April. They will be concluding their journey in the first two weeks of May with their arrivals in the northern sphere of North America! We woke up to 6 inches of snow here in northern Vermont on Thursday! Our hummers usually don't arrive until the first week of May. The snow should be melted by then since we are expecting temps up to 70 next week. As they say here in Vermont, "If you don't like the weather, wait a minute!" SUBMIT YOUR SIGHTING, You can submit your sightings with our "Submission Form" to our "Interactive Migration Map"! Please post your sightings to help everyone following the migration. Give Them a Helping Hand
