We waited a long time this year to see hummingbirds. They usually arrive early March, but this year they arrived later. This photo was taken March 26th although they arrived March 22nd.
THANKS, LWRJ! I THINK YOU MAY BE CORRECT SINCE THE TEMP HERE THIS AM WAS ONLY 47 DEGREES @ 5:00 AM. SHOULD HAVE BEE AROUND 70 DEGREES.

You can really see the eye of this hummer up close. Great photo taken. Sorry to hear that you only saw one by this time of year. Maybe due to very funny weather patterns.

THIS YEAR, HERE IN SOUTH MS., I ONLY HAVE 1 HUMMINGBIRD, AS DOES MY FAMILY & 2 OF MY FRIENDS, WHICH IS VERY UNUSUAL. NORMALLY I HAVE AT LEAST 8 & HAVE COUNTED AS HIGH 12 TO 15. MY ONE ARRIVED ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO & SEEMS TO FEED ONLY IN THE A.M.
