Chest of Rubies

With his chest of rubies,
And his wings so quick,
He flies through the air in a couple of ticks.
His beak's like a needle,
His feet hidden below,
He flies to flowers,
Swooping down low.
His body so small,
And hence he's light,
He's awake in the morning,
And asleep at night.
