Fascinating Hummingbird


Your wings are flashy, vivid, and colorful

Magnificent hues, stunning and beautiful

Long tongue used to drink nectar from flowers

You eat a massive amount of food each hour

You are beautiful, a miracle

Brilliant and magical

A brave little bird, you keep your home safe and well

Any enemy is chased away as far as I can tell

Unlike other birds you are extremely small

But size doesn’t matter; your tiny heart inside is like a special piece of gold

Your thin beak like a needle, sparkling in the sun

Drinking nectar from plentiful flowers, is better than a cinnamon bun

Quick as lightning those tiny wings flicker

Appearing to be still as stone
