Issue #011, March 14, 2015. In this Issue: 1) Updated Hummingbird Migration Sightings & Map 2015. The Long Awaited Hummingbird Migration 2015!What a winter we had in some parts of the country! Fortunately though, we are getting sighting submissions at the usual time of year. Use our Hummingbird Migration Map 2015 to see the progress of the migration. With this, you can estimate the arrival of your "Hummers"! Please POST your sightings to help everyone get ready. Scientists are telling us that in some states the flowers are blooming later than usual and the hummingbirds may be returning before the flowering plants are in full bloom. So they need our feeders more than ever. We are not basking in the 80 degree sunshine like the Spring of 2012. The harsh cold weather that our country has experienced this Winter may have dampened our spirits. This is all the more reason for us to be excited about Spring and the arrival of our hummingbirds.
Our Website is now "Mobile Friendly"! Add our website to the "Homescreen" of your Smarphone to have quick and easy access to follow the Hummingbird Migration as we update your sightings. Attract More Hummingbirds! Visit our updated "Attracting Hummingbirds" page to get some tips. Don't Forget! If we hang more hummingbird feeders we will attract more hummingbirds who will return next year.
